J.D. is a 33 year old man with low back pain radiating down the leg into the calf. His hobbies including alpine skiing, which has been difficult due to the pain. After failing extensive non-operative treatment including physical therapy, chiropractic, and acupuncture, we decided to proceed with artificial disc replacement.
